Entrepreneurship

Welcome to Sgt Papi

Why I built this, what you'll find here, and who it's for.

By Carlos Vazquez · · 2 min read

I've been putting off starting this blog for about two years.

Every time I thought about it, some voice in my head said who's going to read this or you don't have time for this or there are already a million blogs out there. So I kept waiting for some perfect moment that was never going to come.

That ends today.

What Sgt Papi Is

This is a personal blog. My name is Carlos Vazquez, I run a marketing agency out of South Florida, I have three kids, and I've been building with AI and automation since before most people knew what a prompt was.

Sgt Papi is where I share what I'm actually learning — in real time, without the filter.

Not a highlight reel. Not a personal brand course wrapped in blog posts. Just the real stuff: what's working, what isn't, what I wish I'd figured out sooner.

Who It's For

I'm writing for men in their 30s and 40s who are somewhere in the middle of building something. Maybe it's a business. Maybe it's a family. Maybe both at the same time, which is chaotic and beautiful and exhausting and worth it.

If you've ever felt like you were trying to do too many things and doing none of them perfectly — welcome. You're in the right place.

What I'll Cover

Five main areas:

AI — I use AI tools every day to run my business. I'll break down what's actually worth your time and how to use it without losing yourself in the hype.

Entrepreneurship — Running an agency is not glamorous. It's client calls, systems, hiring mistakes, pricing decisions, and the occasional win you get to feel good about for about 12 hours before the next problem shows up. I'll share the real version.

Parenting — I have three kids. Being present while building a business is something I think about constantly. No perfect answers here, just honest conversation.

Travel — One of my goals is to travel more and work from different places. I'm working on making that real, not just a vision board dream.

Fitness — I stay active. Not because I love waking up at 5am, but because it makes everything else work better. I'll share what keeps me consistent.

One Promise

I'm not going to waste your time with fluff. If I don't have something real to say, I won't post.

That's the deal.
